Tie dye pattern have been in fashion for so many years. Some of us have even bought our own tie dye kits to make t-shirts, blankets and other items. But what if you want to create something a little different?
Tie Dye Patterns to Try
Below are few ways to work on your tie dye skills
1. Pinwheel Tie dye Patterns
Place four equal-sized blobs of dye in a square on your work surface. Use a chopstick or other sharp object to draw a line from the center of each blob to the center of the square. Then, rotate the square 45 degrees and repeat. Once you’ve made 16 lines, fill in the gaps with more dye.
2. Bullseye Tie dye Patterns
This one is pretty self-explanatory—just squirt a bunch of different colors of dye in the center of your fabric, and let it spread outward. You can also use a chopstick to swirl the colors together before letting them dry.
3. Rainbow Tie dye Patterns
This is a variation on the bulls eye, but instead of squirting the dye in the center of the fabric, start at one end and make a stripe of each color, moving from light to dark (or dark to light). Once you’ve made your stripes, fill in the rest of the fabric with water and let it soak.
4. Sunburst Tie dye Patterns
This is similar to the pinwheel, but instead of making a square, you’ll make a sunburst shape by placing blobs of dye at the points of a star. Then, use a chopstick or other sharp object to draw lines from the center of each blob to the center of the star. Rotate the star 45 degrees and repeat. Once you’ve made 16 lines, fill in the gaps with more dye.
